P.S: Thanks to the chads in the TXR Discord for helping me out with tips and tricks to beat the game, along with being pretty outstanding people to begin with. This game did get me re-interested with Japanese street-racing culture again though, that’s for sure. I also included my final garage list for anyone curious. I attached a few races I did record that ended up looking alright or were too detrimental to leave out. ![]() ![]() Weaving in and out of traffic while flying down the Wangan at 250+mph is a sensation. Heck when it came to Speed King and Devil Z, I had to use the infamous Ginza corner (which the AI’s hate) in order to have a CHANCE at victory.īut I still had some fun taking down rival street-gangs, taking in the beautiful sights in…pixelated Native PS2 480p graphics (yup)…and the sense of speed is epic. I didn’t get very much footage while playing through TXR0, because it is nearly impossible to get a clean race in most racing situations including the traffic and the AI rivals being dummy fast against my Level 4 Evo 3, or Skyline. Not feeling hatred towards it, because heck i’m playing it’s successor now, TXR3, and jeez what an brilliant successor the game is. With stuff like the obnoxious difficulty curve, dumb AI, and horrid traffic, I was pretty ready to move on from this game. For a 2001 niche Japanese street-racing game, I don’t shame it for feeling as dated and off-balance as it felt. ![]() So remember when I said I was still playing TXR0 when I came back? Yeah I lied, I beat Devil Z back in May and with him defeating all 400 of the in-game rivals □. #tokyo #importtuner #racinggames #c1loop #tokyohighwaychallenge #shutokōbattle #dreamcast #tokyohighway #segadreamcastgames #playstation2 #ps2games #xbox360 #myvideogamecollection #icollectvideogames #instagamer #retrovideogamecollector #retrocollectiveeurope #retrocollectivecanada #retrovideogames #retrogamingcommunity #videogamecollector #videogameaddict #gamersofcanada #tokyoxtremeracer #tokyoxtremeracer2 #tokyoxtremeracer3 #tokyoxtremeracerzero #tokyoxtremeracerdrift2 Happy Family day to all my fellow Canadians □□ The graphics and gameplay have all improved and is probably my favorite out of them all, as I just love the 360 controls Import Tuner Challenge is a fantastic entry in this series. I remember playing the first one when my brother borrowed his friends dreamcast, and he had the game, instantly hooked into driving aimlessly around. I love this racing franchise, you basically just drive around the Tokyo highway loop looking for Racers to challenge against, there's alot more to it than that. I'm missing a few titles that I'll eventually have to get. Here's some Tokyo Xtreme Racers and a bonus Import Tuner Challenge, which is basically the same just for the Xbox 360. #RCEa2z day 20 game is brought to us by the letter T ![]()
